Who can benefit?
Any school that wants to persevere on the journey of continuous institutional development.
Any school that wants to prepare for an accreditation visit / inspection.
What is a whole / partial school audit?
A whole school audit is a complex process of school evaluation against a predefined framework of standards that cover all the main areas of the school: teaching and learning; curriculum; student progress; student personal development; extra-curricular programmes; career advice; health & safety & safeguarding; student behaviour; the quality and effectiveness of the teacher training programme; the systems of communication and complaints; the school management systems at all levels; action plans and school strategy.
A partial audit will refer to a certain area or areas of the school which the school management would like to evaluate and then develop.
An audit is not an inspection! It is a visit meant to help the school identify the areas that need to develop. It is an opportunity for feed-back and reflection.
Why would any school benefit from a whole / Partial school audit?
An external audit is a great opportunity for any school to analyze the state / standard of its processes, policies, procedures, and systems at a certain moment in time. It is an objective reflection of the evolution of the school on the course of its development.
It can help the school leaders to understand the processes better, to identify areas of progress and intervention.
What can we do to support?
The audit consists in a 1-2 days visit of an expert / team of experts (depending on the size of the school), on a programme and targets pre-established and agreed with the school management team.
The visit is conducted in pairs – an expert together with the school representative on each individual standard / area.
Constant feed-back is given during the visit.
A training session is offered at the end of the visit on the specific evaluated area.
A report is created indicating the strengths as well as the areas of development. Recommendations are formulated.
Note: the visit is conducted based on a framework developed considering the best-practices and standards evident in the international educational environment.
