Policy Development

Who can benefit?

In order to be effective, any school needs clear, comprehensive and positive policies. So, the answer to this question is simple: all schools need to go through a constant and regular process of policies’ development and review.

Why is this process necessary for any school?

A very good school is one where all members of the community consistently follow the policies and the procedures. They are effective instruments that align behaviours, attitudes and strategies with the vision, the mission and the values of the school.

Effective policies will also support:

  • the commitment of all staff members who would feel that their work is in line with the direction of school development
  • the confidence of the parent community in the school

Effective policies offer guidance and clarity which leads to safety and trust! They are a mirror for the overall effectiveness of the school.

The policies are also the first thing any accreditation inspection will look at

What do we offer?

  • support in the development of a whole school policy manual.
  • support in the writing and revision of the school policies – individual policies / policies linked with each specific standard.
  • support in the adaptation of the policies to the standards required by different accreditation bodies standards: British Schools Overseas (BSO), Council of British International Schools (COBIS), ARACIP, Cambridge International Education (CIE)
  • support in the implementation process – developing behaviours linked to each individual policy.
  • support for the heads of department / divisions / teams – to include the specific practical aspects of the policies’ implementation in their departmental action plans.
