A school is an institution. To develop, it needs strategic planning, and for that it needs clear direction, which then allows the alignment of all the behaviours, procedures and expectations, which then supports the commitment of the staff members.
Direction is given by the Vision statement. And the Mission statement illustrates how the community can get to the desired development described by the Vision statement.
The Vision and Mission statement must be clear, simple, understandable by all members of the community including the younger students. They guide the improvement and action plans, and ensure alignment between different structures of the school.
Every school refers to its members as a community. A community is a group of people united by the same values and the same interests. So, how can we identify the values that speak to all / most of us?
How can we help?
We are offering a structured workshop which can support a school to define or reevaluate its statements of vision and mission and to identify the values that are shared by the majority of the members of the community.
Workshop – live / online
Duration – 1 day, with preliminary, preparatory conversations about the context and history of the school.
